It’s hot!

By Gordon Kho

In the latest issue of Galaxie, we travelled the world to bring you exclusive news in showbusiness.

FIRST up, New York where we met Kevin, Joe and Nick. Collectively, they are known as The Jonas Brothers – the hottest group in America, scratch that, the world at the moment.

The deafening screams from the fans waiting to catch a glimpse of the handsome trio at the premiere of their latest TV-movie, Camp Rock, should be testament to that statement.

The boys themselves are still not used to this kind of adoration. “When we hear (fans screaming), we immediately think, ‘What’s wrong?’ Cos if you heard screaming like that, won’t you think something was wrong?” lead singer Joe, 19, wondered.

The Jonas Brothers, (from left) Kevin, Joe and Nick, and their Camp Rock co-star Demi Lovato proudly show off their issue of Galaxie.

Nothing’s wrong. In fact, everything’s peachy in The Jonas camp. Their song, Burnin’ Up, is, well, burning up the airwaves. And their third album, Just a Bit Longer, went to No.1 when it was released three weeks ago.

Though they are virtually on every cover of teen magazines in America, when eldest brother Kevin, 20, spotted themselves on the cover of Galaxie magazine’s mid-April issue under the headline 25 Under 25: Brightest Stars Today, he was elated. “Thank you so much for including us (in the story),” he said.

He revealed to Galaxie that he has been to Kuala Lumpur once and it ignited his interest in music. “I was 13 when I visited Malaysia with my dad. I truly found my passion because that’s where I started playing music with my dad. I can’t wait to go again.”

The Sept 1-15 2008 issue of Galaxie.

From Manhattan, we cross the pond to London, England, where we met up with stars Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz from TV series Bones. The actors were shooting a special double-episode overseas for the first time and they, along with series creator Hart Hanson, shared with Galaxie a few secrets from the upcoming season that premieres in the United States this month.

“When you put (lead characters Brennan and Booth) in London, the tension just flies out the windows and doors,” Boreanaz, who plays Special Agent Seeley Booth, revealed. “I think it’s a real great start for Season Four.”

No other magazine gives you exclusive interviews like Galaxie. Throw in 12 posters and loads of freebies, the Sept 1-15 issue of Galaxie is a must-get. All for only RM3 – now, that’s what we call value for money.
