  • Ipoh Mali Semua Taluh is an English comedy brought to you by the comedy duo Monti and Logi of Bolehman Comedy Theatre. The two are back with this new remix of their 2005 hit Ipoh Mali Kencing Tada Bunyi. This time they are doing it with the sponsorship of Monti’s old alma mater (St Michael’s, Ipoh) to raise funds for the primary school building project in collaboration with The SMI Alumni Association Klang Valley.

Broken Bridges The Musical heads north to Ipoh, its spiritual home, for a three-day performance.
The comedy continues its run at The Actors Studio Bangsar, Bangsar Shopping Complex, Jalan Maarof, Bukit Bandaraya, KL, until Saturday (8.30pm nightly).

The entire stand-up comedy is seen through the eyes of an Ipoh boy (Monti) and half-an-Ipoh guy (Logi). Most of their shows use local names with a mixture of Bahasa Malaysia and slang words as a branding on their type of humour.

This remix will feature some of their original work like the story about Tanjung Rambutan being converted into a medical tourism resort for Singaporeans. New material will be added to include current topics and the biggest change coming in the form of more musical parodies.

This show is to raise money for Monti’s old alma mater where many famous people came from, including Patrick Teoh, Datuk Lawrence Chan, Bernard Chauly, Datuk Seri Dr Lim Keng Yaik, Datuk Tan Yee Khan and Ng Boon Bee.

The show will also feature renowned jazz pianist and musician James Boyle. Tickets are priced at RM37, RM47 and RM26 for senior citizens and students. Call TAS @ Bangsar: 03-20940400/1400 or e-mail tickets@theactorsstudio.com.my

Watch out for Farid, the man behind the gambus, at Alexis Bistro.
