Cash saves S Club 7
Teen sensations S Club 7 have been promised US$ 1,050,000 after they threatened to split up, MTVasia reports. The pop stars had planned to call in their solicitors, following rows about cash and long hours. But the group's record company acted quickly and promised a cheque for US$ 15,000 each before Christmas. A band insider said: "The kids are exhausted. They really put in the hours and were beginning to feel hard done by, both their management and their record company." The group, who burst on the scene with "Bring It All Back" last year, has pulled in more than 3.5 million viewers with their kid's show Miami 7. The source adds, "They're lovely kids but they are under a huge amount of stress - they all smoke despite their clean cut image."
